Daniel Solomons Memorial Scholarship
Daniel Solomons was born in Sydney on 13 January 1985.
He thrived in his primary years and his thirst for learning and knowledge was ignited. Daniel completed his senior years at Moriah College. His academic results were outstanding and he received the Premier’s Medal for All-Round Excellence in his HSC.
Daniel completed a combined Arts/Law degree at UNSW, with a major in English. He graduated, with First Class Honours in Law, in 2008.
Daniel was a talented lawyer; well-regarded and respected by colleagues and the broader legal community. He was enamoured with the law and this fascination led to a number of insightful journal and textbook publications.
Daniel loved and lived life with passion, integrity and sensitivity. He was charismatic, and an excellent storyteller and creative writer.
Daniel took his life on 23 April 2013 while preparing for the NSW Bar exams.
The Daniel Solomons Memorial Scholarship makes the study of law accessible for candidates who demonstrate personal courage; seeking knowledge and enlightenment despite personal and financial challenges.
