In this issue:

Refugee law is a hot topic that continually ignites public and political debate in Australia. While emotions can run high, when it comes to refugee law, several researchers at UNSW Law are helping to inform policy and teaching through fact and substantive evidence.

We hope you find the Cross-examination section interesting, where we asked alumni to give us a little insight into their professional world and share lessons learnt along the way by answering three questions.

Rebecca Gilsenan (BSW LLB 99), Eugene Quah (BSc LLB 08) and Rachel Davis (BA LLB 03) are our alumni profiled in this issue. They are leading interesting and very different lives in Sydney, Myanmar (Burma) and New York respectively.

And finally, we say THANK YOU to everyone for your donations (small or large) to support our students and other UNSW Law initiatives.
