The Centre provides the following services on human rights and discrimination issues:

representation and advice to clients from all over New South Wales; |

education to community groups and other service providers about rights and obligations under relevant laws; |

law reform and policy advocacy, through submissions to government, liaison with other community groups and through representation on committees. |
The Centre represents clients in court and tribunal proceedings which involve discrimination and human rights issues. These cases are run under both state and federal legislation. Law students assist the Centre's solicitors in representing clients in these court and tribunal proceedings.

breaches of privacy rights; |

breaches of civil liberties and human rights abuses, particularly where the breach or abuse is addressed by international treaties and conventions to which Australia is a party. |

homosexuality |

disability |
 |
transgender status |
If you have experienced discrimination on any of these grounds it may be unlawful and you should seek legal advice.
Free advice is available from community legal centres such as
Kingsford Legal Centre or from a Legal Aid Commission office if you are unable to afford a lawyer.
