Continuing Professional Development for Lawyers at UNSW

The Centre for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) at UNSW Law is the only provider of continuing professional development (CPD) in Australia located within a law faculty, delivering high-quality education for over 25 years.

Uniquely positioned to bring together expert practitioners, judges and academics, the Centre provides engaging, practical and focused life long education to the legal profession, our Alumni and other professionals requiring legal knowledge and knowhow; enabling them to provide quality services to their clients and to the community.

The Centre’s goal is to:

  • provide quality in all that the Centre delivers,
  • to be at the forefront of practitioner and legal education both in Australia and the region, and
  • to be agile and deliver products that are responsive to the changing market.

Legal CPD program

Each year, the Centre runs high-quality, face-to-face learning programs to assist practising lawyers to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in major areas of legal practice that are vital to their professional/business skills and judges.

These seminars, typically held at the Sydney CBD campus, are designed for lawyers to fulfil their professional obligations.
