Beyond the classroom
One of the key features that sets UNSW Law apart from other law schools is our distinctive approach to experiential learning and the professional development of our students as they progress through their degree program. The Law School prides itself on the extensive variety of learning experiences available to students outside of the classroom environment, all of which can be completed for Units of Credit which in turn can be counted towards the completion of a degree program. Some of these opportunities include:
- gaining valuable work experience either here within UNSW Law at one of our Legal Centres or at an external organisation;
- completing academic courses at one of an extensive range of high quality overseas instituions that UNSW is in partnership with - for exposure to new cultures and the complexities of international legal systems; and
- participation in a variety of mooting and other legal skill building competitions - essential building blocks for a successful career.
The purpose of this section of the website is to provide Future Students with information about what opportunities for learning outside the classroom exist within our programs, as well as supply our Current Students with detailed information about each opportunity: what each course involves, how to apply for a place in the course and where to go to seek further information about the course.
