Overseas Electives

UNSW Law has partnered with several overseas institutions to offer UNSW Law students opportunities to participate in various elective courses. These elective courses take place during the Summer or Winter breaks between the two main semesters of study at UNSW, and each course is worth 6 units of credit towards the completion of a UNSW Law degree program.

Currently there are opportunities for UNSW Law students to participate in overseas electives in New York, Shanghai, Santiago and Beijing in Semester 2 2018. Information about each course available is listed on this page, with links to material with further information and instructions on when the course takes place, how to apply, and when to apply.

LAWS3146 / JURD7346 / LAWS8146 Human Rights Law in Practice - New York

This 6 UOC course will be held from Sunday 8 July to Wednesday 18 July 2018.

Students who participate in this program will be enrolled into the course in Semester 2 (T2A) 2018.
