Postgraduate Human Rights Internship Program (PGHRIP)

Interns are required to attend at their partner organisation for the equivalent of one day each week over 12 weeks, during semester, and in a block or 2-3 days per week over a short period during summer and winter sessions. Attendance is by arrangement between the intern and the partner organisation and confirmed with the Program Coordinator.

Please read the Online Handbook before applying.

If you are applying for a self-organised internship please choose 'self organised placement' from the drop down menu above.

For each organisation write a statement (of no more than 500 words per organisation) regarding your suitability and interest in that organisation. Please be aware that this statement is read by the organisation of your choice and is an important part of the selection process. Please have each statement on a separate page attached to this application. All documents uploaded must be labeled your surname, underscore and then a descriptor of the document required. For example Amy Smith wishes to upload her first preference statement of interest, resume and academic transcript from the program word. The three documents will be labeled: smith_soi_1.doc, smith_cv.doc and smith_transcript.doc

If you are applying for a self organised placement you do not need to attach a Statement of Interest. In its place please attach a word document with the name and contact details of the host organisation. Please also include the name of the host supervisor and their email address.

Please name the document 'yoursurname_suppdocs'. For example Jane Doe wishes to submit her documents so she will name it doe_suppdocs.

If your application is unsuccessful at your chosen organisation would you like to be considered for round two placements at another organisation of our choosing?
