CBD Student Services Places Request Form (JD Students Only)

Status message

Submissions for this form are closed.

This form is only available from 10am Tuesday 9 October until 4pm Monday 22 October 2018 for enrolment into T1 2019.

This form is not to be used by students seeking an SSP at Kensington campus (SSP). For those seeking a Student Services Place in a class taught at Kensington, please use this form.

Due to the very limited number of Student Services Places available at both the Kensington and city campuses, all students are strongly advised to attempt to enrol themselves into their preferred classes when enrolment appointments open, as there is no guarantee of receiving an SSP even where eligibility criteria are met and a compliant application has been submitted.

Before submitting your application please ensure you have noted the following:

  • This form is to be used by JD students who would like to request a Student Services Place in a class taught at the city campus (CBD-SSP). The eligibility criteria for CBD-SSP are different from those for SSP at Kensington, and are detailed below.
  • Applications must include all required supporting documentation as a single PDF file.
  • There are a limited number of CBD-SSPs. Meeting eligibility criteria and submitting a compliant application does not guarantee a place. Places will be approved in order of receipt among eligible and compliant applications.
  • Please complete ALL sections in the form. Your request will not be considered unless all fields are completed correctly and you have provided appropriate documentation.
  • CBD-SSPs and SSPs at Kensington are released at the discretion of the Law Student Services Team.

Eligibility for CBD-SSP

CBD Student Services Places are reserved for JD students who are in paid employment at least 35 hours per week. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis for all eligible applications. Please note you will need to submit a separate application for each course you wish to enrol in.

Supporting documentation

Applicants must provide a letter from their employer, dated no earlier than September 2018, for T1 2019 enrolment, and including the following information:

  • confirming the number of hours of work each week
  • applicant’s telephone contact information at place of employment
  • telephone contact details of the employer’s HR department

Any questions regarding this form should be submitted to law@unsw.edu.au. Please be patient while we consider your request. The anticipated response time is up to 7 working days. Please refrain from emailing us for an outcome as this may delay the processing time.

An email will be sent to your UNSW email address when your application has been assessed. Applications that have been declined for any reason will not be re-assessed. Please submit another application to be re-considered.
