Application for Overload

Semester 1 2018 Overload Applications will open 10am, February 5 2018 and will close 12pm, February 21 2018Late applications will NOT be considered. If your requested class is FULL or CLASHES with an existing class (where documentation is not provided), your application will be REJECTED.

Please note all applications will be processed together on February 22 2018 with the outcomes of these applications sent to students within 2 working days. Please do not email Student Services before this date to ask about the status of your application.

Please read the UNSW Law Overload Policy carefully before applying and note that overloading is not permitted in Summer Term. 

It is your responsibility to withdraw from any courses that you do not wish to be enrolled by the relevant Key Dates to avoid financial/academic penalty.

DO NOT include the "z" before your student number.
Correspondence is sent to your UNSW email account ( It is your responsibility to check your UNSW email account on a regular basis.

Students who have not completed at least 48uoc are NOT eligible to overload. Please apply to overload once you have met this requirement.
Students who have a recent record of failure (past year of study) are NOT eligible to overload. Please apply to overload once you have met this requirement.
*Only students with extenuating circumstances are allowed to overload in Summer Semester.
After overloading, please provide what your total units of credit enrolment would be
Please provide Course Code, Course Name, Component (Lecture/Tutorial), Class Number, Units of Credit. E.g. LAWS3144, Animal Law, Lecture, class 1379, 6uoc. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR REQUESTED CLASS IS NOT FULL AND DOES NOT CLASH WITH ANOTHER CLASS WHEN COMPLETING THIS APPLICATION.
Please include details of any amendments required for Student Services to enrol you in the course you are requesting (e.g. drop LAWSxxxx)
Please upload a single PDF document of your supporting documentation and/or academic statement from myUNSW.
