Undergraduate
Our undergraduate law program is the Law dual degree program.
- If you have finished high school (or equivalent) and you don’t have a university degree
- You want to practise law as a solicitor or barrister
- Then you can apply to study law in our Law dual degree program
- The law qualification you will receive at the end of your degee is a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

UNSW JD
Our UNSW JD (Juris Doctor) program is for graduates who want to practise law. This is a postgraduate program.
- If you have graduated from university with a bachelors degree in any discipline other than law
- You want to practise law as a solicitor or barrister
- Then you can apply to study law in our UNSW JD (Juris Doctor) program
- The law qualification you will receive at the end of your degree is the Juris Doctor (JD)

Postgraduate
Our postgraduate law programs are for graduates who want to specialise or gain knowledge in certain areas of law. These programs do not lead to admission to legal practice.
- If you have graduated from university with a bachelors degree
- You are a lawyer then you can apply to study a Master of Laws degree (LLM)
- Or you are not a lawyer but want to gain legal knowlege then you can apply to study one of our many postgraduate law programs in areas such as Criminal Law, Business Law, International Law, Human Rights, Dispute Resolution, Applied Intellectual Property
