Program overview

This dual degree combines principles paramount to planning such as design, delivery and management with extensive knowledge of Australian law, legal process, land law and environmental law.

In your Law degree you will be able to study areas of the law that complement your City Planning degree, such as land law, strata and community titles, and construction contracts. As part of your City Planning degree you will have the unrivalled opportunity of spending two semesters of paid work experience in the planning industry.

City Planning (Honours)/Law is jointly offered by UNSW Law and UNSW Built Environment.

Careers

The program allows you to obtain two professionally accredited degrees and provides excellent preparation for careers in law firms with specialist local government/planning law practices, related government departments and regulatory bodies, local councils and town planning consultancies.
