Program overview

This dual degree provides an opportunity to gain a Law degree and a social research and policy qualification of professional importance to the public sector, community service and business.

You will study a comprehensive Law degree and have opportunities to engage in mooting, undertake an internship or clinical program, go on an international exchange and gain exceptional skills and practical experience that are highly sought after by employers. In your Social Research and Policy degree you will develop skills in policy analysis and research methods with in-depth study in one or more social science disciplines and have the opportunity to further develop your professional and workplace skills through an internship.

Social Research and Policy/Law is jointly offered by UNSW Law and UNSW Arts & Social Sciences.


Graduates are employed in a range of legal and social justice related industries. There are also opportunities for careers in the public sector, community service, international aid agencies and business.
