The UNSW JD will offer both Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) and full-fee places. CSP places will be awarded on the basis of academic merit to the most highly qualified applicants.

Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP)

Students enrolled in a CSP pay a proportion of the cost of their tuition (a Student Contribution) and the balance is funded by the Commonwealth Government. As a guide, the Student Contribution for a CSP in Law at UNSW in 2009 was $8,677 per year.

Full-Fee Places

For students enrolled in a full-fee place, the 2010 tuition fee in the UNSW JD is $27,120 per year (based on a full-time year of 48 units of credit) or $565 per unit of credit. This fee is for both local and international students.

FEE-HELP

FEE-HELP is a loan available to help eligible students pay part or all of their tuition fees. It is available to students who are either Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents with a humanitarian visa. In 2009, the FEE-HELP limit was $83,313. This amount is indexed each year.
