Postgraduate Coursework Programs

Candidates for all postgraduate programs are encouraged to provide a copy of their curriculum vitae.

Candidates for the Master of Law and Management program should provide a copy of their curriculum vitae

Candidates for the Master of Legal Studies and Graduate Diploma of Legal Studies programs should provide a copy of their curriculum vitae and include a study plan indicating the law and non-law elective courses they wish to study in the program.

Candidates for the joint Master of Business Administration / Master of Laws (MBA/LLM) must provide:

Postgraduate Research Programs (PhD, SJD, LLM by Research)

Applicants for a Research degree should email their research proposal to Law Student Services, prior to making a formal application.

Candidates should apply online at http://my.unsw.edu.au

Candidates for a Research degree should also provide the following documentation:
Certified copies of all academic transcripts
Curriculum vitae
List of publications and details of previous research experience
A detailed research proposal of approximately 5 to 6 pages. The research proposal should include the following information:
Proposed title of the research thesis
Aims of the research thesis
Background to the research, including a literature survey
Significance of the research
Research methodology

Part time candidates should attach a statement to indicate a plan for progress to ensure that the degree will be completed within the maximum time allowed.

In order to allow ample time to process your application for admission and subsequently the student visa, it is desirable that you make your application for admission at least four months prior to the commencement of the session in which you wish to enrol.

International students undertaking a coursework program must enrol in the course Australian Legal System in the first semester of their enrolment.

International students must meet the University’s English Language Requirements.
