In addition to scholarships specifically for Law School students there are numerous University wide scholarships that are open to Law School students as well. Selection criteria vary between scholarships and may be based on academic merit, financial need, extra-curricular contribution or potential to contribute to the wider life of the university, and leadership skills.

Scientia Scholarships

Students who receive a UAI (or equivalent) of 99.90 or above and select UNSW will be offered a Scientia Scholarship worth $10,000 per year for the duration of their degree (up to 5 years and subject to satisfactory progress).

During their studies, Scientia Scholars will be mentored by a senior academic staff member. They will also be offered the opportunity to occupy positions of academic leadership, representing the university at external forums and participating in international student exchanges and activities.
