Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team 2010

UNSW Law students have once again excelled in international competitive mooting with recent moots taking place in Vienna, Paris and Montreal.

In Vienna, our Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team won two prestigious awards. The team, comprised of Narges Khabbaz, Trina Ng, Ann Kayis and Michelle Wen, and coached by alumni Victoria Tan and Archana Gelda, won the Peter Sanders Award for Best Memorandum (Claimant) and the Werner Melis Award for Best Memorandum (Respondent).

In Montreal our Jean-Pictet International Humanitarian Law team, comprised of Jeremy Etkind, Thomas Liu and Melissa Martin, and coached by alumnus and lecturer Dr Emily Crawford, was one of 47 teams selected from around the world to compete in Montreal at the end of March. The team performed admirably and Jeremy Etkind was awarded Best Speaker.

In Paris, as recently reported, UNSW's International Commercial Mediation mooting team came 2nd in the tiebreaker final hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce. For article, click here.
