It's Our Country: Indigenous Arguments for Recognition and Reform

The Australian (16 July 2016), writes about the new book It's Our Country, edited by Professor Megan Davis and Marcia Langton.

It's Our Country is a collection of short essays by leading and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander thinkers and leaders. The book conveys to Australians why indigenous peoples should have a direct say in the decisions that affect their lives. When approaching contributors for the book, editors Professor Davis and Ms Langton noted that “We asked authors not to be constrained by the ideological minefield of deeply held views from both the left and the right … regarding matters such as ‘rights’ in the constitution.”
