UNSW Faculty of Law ranked top in learning and teaching

For the third consecutive year, the Faculty of Law has been recognised for the quality of its learning and teaching in rankings released by the Federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

Business, Law and Economics at UNSW achieved the top score for excellence (Band A1) and was the only university listed in the highest band for improvement in this cluster.

‘These results indicate not only that UNSW is top for teaching and learning in this area, but also that it continues to improve relative to others in the field,’ said Professor David Dixon, Dean of the Faculty of Law.

The Federal Government’s Learning and Teaching Performance Fund rewards universities that demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning for domestic undergraduates.

This year for the first time it also recognised universities for improvement in their performance over time. UNSW rated ahead of any other university in both categories, receiving a total of $6.9 million for excellence and improvement, the highest allocation amongst Australian universities.
