2009 Essay Competition Winners Announced!
 Year 11 and 12 students from schools across NSW and the ACT have demonstrated their skill and understanding of the issues surrounding human rights in the annual UNSW Law Essay Competition. In recognition of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this year’s theme explored the challenging issue of human rights protection in Australia with the question: Human rights are adequately recognised and protected in Australia. Discuss. The judges were impressed with the very high standard of this year’s entries and the students’ enthusiasm for the topic.
