Madeleine Tan is a Partner in Kaye Scholer`s Structured Finance Group, New York. In 2008, Madeleine was selected as one of the ‘10 rising stars of Securitization’ by the global publications Total Securitization and Institutional Investor News, identifying Madeleine as one of the trendsetters for the future.

Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Madeleine was Partner at Brown Rudnick LLP, Principal of Vantis Strategies LLC, a New York based financial structuring and advisory firm that she founded. She was also a former partner of Hunton & Williams LLP and spent several years at an investment bank, Bankers Trust Company (now Deutsche Bank) in Hong Kong.

She advises corporations, financial institutions, specialised funds and the trading community on the financing of alternative energy projects and on derivatives and structured products relating to European Union emissions allowances and certified emission reductions under the Kyoto Protocol’s CDM regime.

The Faculty would like to thank Madeleine for the funds she has pledged for the research into the legal framework and legal issues around energy security, climate change and emissions trading in Australia.
