Settling in

So you made it into UNSW Law. That was the hard part right? Well the good news is that getting through the HSC means you’ve already got a lot of the skills you’ll need to succeed at Law School. The bad news is that university may not be as easy as pop culture would have you believe. While there are definitely lots of opportunities to party, eat two minute noodles and throw Frisbees around the Quad, the reality is that studying Law is not a walk in the park.

The study of Law is about changing the way you think about the world and the laws that govern it. It is not merely about memorising the rules but challenging them. Getting settled into this new learning environment might take some time, but with the help of this guide, your peers and teachers, we think you’ll enjoy the journey as much as the destination.
