Once the thesis has been approved and the candidate cleared for graduation, the candidate will be sent a letter from the GRS notifying them that they are now eligible for graduation. The candidate will also be advised that they should prepare a final library bound copy of the thesis, which satisfies University requirements for the award of the degree and is bound in accordance with the requirements provided in the "Thesis Submission and Examination @UNSW" document which is available at:  This copy is to be submitted to the GRS prior to the candidate being awarded the degree. 

Candidates are also required to submit one digital copy of their thesis, which has satisfied University requirements for the award of the degree.  This copy must be submitted directly to the UNSW Library.  Information on what is required is available at:

The GRS will also forward the candidate a Graduation Facts sheet which provides information on graduation ceremonies, the dates by which candidates need to submit copies of their completed thesis, ensuring that all debts owing to the University are paid and outlining what other things they need to do such as ensuring their address is correct, their name is correct, and also read the graduation information

A graduation information package is sent to all graduating candidates approximately three weeks prior to the scheduled ceremony.
