Law, science & technology

We are a community of scholars that shares a passion for innovative, interdisciplinary research on how law interacts with scientific and technological developments, affecting the administration of justice, the achievements of policy goals, and the protection of human rights and social values. Our interests include exploring the role of law reform and other institutions in “keeping up” with technological change, addressing issues around cybercrime and Internet security, analysing technologies used in criminal justice, protecting privacy in an age of social media and big data, and evaluating the role and reliability of expert evidence in legal proceedings.
