Brief overview

After completing a law degree in Germany and emigrating to Australia in 1985, I worked with Munich Reinsurance Company and Blake Dawson Waldron Solicitors for two years, before commencing an LLB degree at UNSW to requalify in Australian law.

I have been on the academic staff at UNSW Faculty of Law since 1990, teaching the compulsory core subject Legal System-Torts. I have introduced and taught the elective subject Japanese Law at both LLB and LLM levels. Further subjects I currently teach are Comparative Law and Asian Legal Systems and Business Laws.
