Dr Beth Goldblatt is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology Sydney and is a Visiting Fellow of the Australian Human Rights Centre where she is an Editor of the Human Rights Defender. Beth was the director of Centre's gender and social security rights project. She is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow of the School of Law at the University of the Witwatersrand and an admitted attorney in South Africa.
Beth has been involved in research, advocacy, litigation, law reform, policy work and teaching in South Africa and Australia. She has held posts at UNSW, the University of Sydney and the University of the Witwatersrand. Her work focuses on feminist legal theory and gender, family law, equality and discrimination, comparative constitutional law, transitional justice, disability, and human rights with a focus on economic and social rights and the right to social security in particular.
