Brief overview
Dr Catherine Bond joined the School of Law as a Lecturer in Semester 2 2009. Prior to this she came to the Faculty as a PhD Candidate in 2006 as part of the Australian Research Council-funded "Unlocking IP" project, based at the Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre. Catherine holds degrees in Media and Law (with Honours Class 1) from Macquarie University and a PhD from UNSW. Her doctoral thesis, 'For the Term of His Natural Life ... Plus Seventy Years' explored the constitutional, legislative and historical aspects of the public domain in Australian copyright.
Catherine is the current Director of the LLM (Media & Technology Law) stream and the new Master of Law, Media and Journalism, commencing for the first time in Semester 1 2012.
