Cassandra is Director of the Homelessness Legal Rights Project at the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law at UNSW where she is undertaking a PhD into the legal and human rights of people living in public space. She also works as a consultant on economic, social and cultural rights particularly the right to adequate housing. Cassandra was formally Senior Legal Officer with the Centre on Housing Rights and Evictions and Coordinator and Principal Solicitor of the Darwin Community Legal Service. She has also worked as a manager and solicitor with Legal Aid Western Australia and is admitted to practice in Western Australia. She has a Master of Laws from University College London focusing on public international law and the use of international human rights legal resources by local communities.
