AusAid are seeking a Human Rights Officer for a one year volunteer placement in the Office of the Ombudsman, Samoa - commencing May/June 2013.

The Office of the Ombudsman is in the process of being mandated with human rights powers to create the first National Human Rights Institute in the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing program and education/outreach strategies and will be heavily involved in their implementation.

The candidate should have a legal background and experience in the Human Rights sector. The successful applicant will receive a generous living allowance and in country support.
