Scholarships for First Year Indigenous LLB students

AVAILABLE NOW: 2 x $5,000 scholarships for 1st year Indigenous LLB students

Applications are now open for 2 x Law Society of NSW Indigenous Scholarships. Each scholarship is for 1 year (2015) and is valued at $5,000. The scholarships are available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander UNSW students enrolled (full-time) in the first year of the LLB (undergraduate combined law degree). Applications close 30 April 2015.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply you must:
• be an Indigenous student of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
• be a full-time student in first year of the LLB (undergraduate combined law degree) at UNSW.

Selection
• Each applicant will be required to provide a statement outlining their personal attributes, including their capacity for, and commitment to, the Law program.
• Consideration may also be given to financial need and demonstrated commitment to the interests of Indigenous Australians.

Conditions
The scholarship is subject to satisfactory academic progress which is considered to be pass grades in all courses.
