Allen & Overy (Hong Kong) visit Sydney 24 March 2014

Staff from the Allen and Overy Office in Hong Kong will visit Sydney on Monday 24 March 2014.

They will hold an information session for students interested in pursuing legal careers in Hong Kong.

Please ensure to finalise your enrolment by the end of this week. The last day for you to change classes on myUNSW is Sunday 9 March 2014.

Summer Results Released on 27 February 2014

Release of Summer 2013/2014 Results

Summer 2013/2014 Results will be released on 27 February @ 7pm via your UNSW email and they will also be available on myUNSW.

Please ensure that your mailbox is not full and that any email redirection you have in place is current.

What happens if I have an unresolved grade?

Some teachers may submit their results late. Students who may be affected by this will be notified PRIOR to the release of results and Law Student Services will chase up with the relevant teachers.

Governor General Essay Prize

You may be interested in the Governor-General’s Undergraduate Essay Prize.

The competition is open to Australian citizens enrolled in the LLB or JD for all or part of 2013 and 2014.

Students may choose to answer one of six questions: Questions 2013-14 (This link is no longer available)

The essay length is 2,500 words and must be submitted online by 5.00pm AEST on Monday 30 June 2014.

NEW Postgraduate Courses in Semester 1 2014

Each year UNSW Law introduces new  and innovative courses to ensure the courses we offer are relevant and up to date for our Law students. 

The following new courses will be introduced in Semester 1 2014 in diverse areas such as Doping in Sport to a new Internship Program specifically for postgraduate students.

New Scholarship for Indigenous Students - 3rd or 4th year LLB students only

New Indigenous Law Student Scholarship - $5,000 available for 2014

Applications are now open for the new Piper Alderman Indigenous Law Student Scholarship, a  one year scholarship valued at $5,000.

Calling for Interns - PWESCR's Women Human Rights Internship Programme

PWESCR Internship Programme

PWESCR ongoing volunteer internship programme typically consists of a minimum of four consecutive calendar months of work in the Delhi (India) office. The programme is mutually advantageous. Interns gain valuable exposure to a wide range of women's human rights issues and knowledge of South Asian region.

PWESCR is currently looking to hire interns for minimum 4 months and preference is given to people interested to work for 6 months. They have different batches for this year as January, May and September.
