Its not too late to Enrol in a T2B course

There is still time to enrol in certain T2B courses which have yet to commence. Students have until the 22 September 2013 to enrol in a T2B course via myUNSW.

T2B Courses are taught from 16 September to 1 November 2013. The following courses still have spaces. 

Internship opportunity: National Copyright Unit, NSW Department of Education & Communities

An exciting internship opportunity has arisen for a UNSW student to work with the National Copyright Unit on a policy project related to the current Australian Law Reform Commission inquiry into Copyright in the Digital Economy.

The National Copyright Unit is based on Bridge Street in Sydney and is responsible for:

• negotiating statutory and voluntary licences with copyright collecting societies on behalf of Australian schools and TAFE institutes;

• liaising with other education sectors and industry bodies on copyright policy issues;

Census Date is this Saturday, 31 August 2013

Saturday, August 31 (CENSUS DATE) – important!

The last day to withdraw without academic and financial penalty from a T2 or T2A course is this Saturday 31 August. Please note as the Census Date falls on a Saturday, students should ideally contact Student Services before Friday 30 August with any queries regarding withdrawing from courses. Please note that if you are only enrolled in 1 course, myUNSW will not permit you to withdraw online and you will need to apply for leave.

Interested to go on Exchange? Come and see how a semester overseas on international exchange can boost your career options while providing you with an unforgettable life changing experience.

An exchange adviser from the UNSW Global Education and Exchange Program will come to room G23 (Law Theatre, ground floor) on Tuesday 27 August at 1pm to provide information on application procedures, scholarships as well as an overview of the destinations that are specifically available for an exchange in Law.

The NSW Bar Association Equal Opportunity Committee is pleased to host an Open Day for Female Law Students on Friday, 27 September 2013.

The Open Day provides a wonderful opportunity for female law students to meet successful women barristers and observe them at work in chambers and at Court.

Model United Nations in Guangdong 2013 - Applications OPEN!

Model United Nations in Guangdong, China - UNSW Student Delegation, 8-10 November 2013

The Australian Human Rights Commission and the United Nations Association of China (UNAC) in partnership with the UNSW Faculty of Law and the Australian Human Rights Centre are seeking applications from UNSW law students to participate in a 2 day Model United Nations in China in November.  Four (4) students will be selected to attend the 2013 Model UN to be held at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou, 8-10 November 2013.

All of which can be completed for Units of Credit (uoc) which in turn can be counted towards the completion of your degree program!
