New 5 year scholarship for Science/Law students! AVAILABLE NOW!

We are excited to announce a new scholarship for Science/Law Students valued at $7,000/year for 5 years! 

 The scholarship is available now.  To be eligible, you must be in the 1st year of one of the following programs:

  • Science/LLB
  • Sc (Adv Science) (Hons)/LLB 
  • Sc (Advanced Maths) (Hons)/LLB

 You must also:

  • be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident; and
  • be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit and be able to provide a Centrelink Reference Number (CRN).

2015/2016 International Law Competitive Moots & Competitions

The International Law Competitive Moot Program was the first program of its kind in Australia. It provides a select group of UNSW Law and JD students with the opportunity to prepare and conduct a mock case or mediation before an international tribunal .Application period  - 15 May 2015 to 22 June 2015 - Please see more information here.

Scholarships for First Year Indigenous LLB students

AVAILABLE NOW: 2 x $5,000 scholarships for 1st year Indigenous LLB students

Applications are now open for 2 x Law Society of NSW Indigenous Scholarships. Each scholarship is for 1 year (2015) and is valued at $5,000. The scholarships are available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander UNSW students enrolled (full-time) in the first year of the LLB (undergraduate combined law degree). Applications close 30 April 2015.

Sir Anthony Mason Research Project in Constitutional Law in S2 2015 is open now

Applications are called for one student to undertake the Sir Anthony Mason Research Project in Constitutional Law in Semester 2 2015. Applications close on Tuesday 14 April 2015. Applicants should complete the online application form available on the Law School website.

Final week to collect summer and S2 2014 assessments

This will be the final week for UG and JD students to collect their Assessment and Exams for Semester 2 and Summer at the Student Services counter. Make sure you collect your papers by 4pm this Friday. Please note that in the past individual courses were allocated for collection on a specified day and papers were only able to be collected according to the specified schedule. Student Services has sorted all the assessment papers this time so that you can now pick them all up at one time (unless the teacher has not returned the papers to us).

Overseas Electives Applications open 16th March 2015

Currently there are opportunities for UNSW Law students to participate in overseas electives in Shanghai and New York. Apply online via the Law website, applications are open 10am March 16th until 4pm March 20th.

Law Exchange Information Session - Tuesday 24 March @ 1PM Law G02

An exchange adviser from the UNSW Global Education and Exchange Program will come to room G02 (law building ground floor) on Tuesday 24 March at 1pm to provide information on application procedures, scholarships as well as an overview of the destinations that are specifically available for an exchange in Law.
