Master of Laws by Coursework (LLM) Graduate Profile

Carolyn Chuck

Master of Laws (Criminal Justice & Criminology)
Year commenced:
2013

As I sit in my office at the end of the day, I take a moment to reflect on my remarkable experience at UNSW. Currently, I am working in private practice on a many criminal, civil, family and conveyancing cases. The Master of Laws (LL.M.) program appealed to me because there was a wide, diverse selection of courses which complemented my areas of practice and also allowed me to explore other areas of law. What I enjoyed most about the courses taken at UNSW Law was that it was not just academic but very practical and relevant to current issues in law. The depth in which the professors ventured in these courses I would never have been able to do on my own. Having studied at UNSW, I believe I have matured into a more analytical, organized and prepared lawyer. What I learned during my year at UNSW has benefited me both in my career and in my personal life, and I believe will continue to do so in the future. I would definitely recommend the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program at UNSW to anyone who is interested in studying in a diverse, fun, challenging and intellectually stimulating program.
