Master of Laws Graduate Profile

Delphine Hoarau

Year commenced:

After working for about 10 years, going back to study was a difficult challenge. Far away from your home country, your friends and your family, the challenge becomes even more difficult. I had to adapt not only to the Australian culture, but also to the student environment. However, the professors and the staff members helped me a lot with their kindness and their availability, not only related to the courses but also help with clarification of the language.

After one year in Australia, I considerably increased my knowledge not only in legal fields that I was interested in, but also about Australia and Australians, their culture and their way of life. I also learnt a lot about myself, because of the adaptation required in order to overcome culture shock. In a few words, completing this Masters program is one of the richest experiences I have had.
