Media & Technology

Various areas of law impact on how we interact with culture and technology on a daily basis. Whether enshrined in statute or developed by the courts, these forms of regulation ensure that we are protected in both the digital or disconnected environments. Defamation law, personal and information privacy principles, intellectual property, electronic security, and broadcasting and telecommunications regulation have all developed to keep our online and offline lives on track.

UNSW Law courses cut across the wide range of issues that arise in these areas and are taught by academics and lawyers who bring their policy and practical experience into the classroom. UNSW Law won’t just show you what’s happening right now with respect to media & technology law: it will prepare you for what will happen next.

Centres

UNSW Law’s Centres, Networks and Groups bring together some of the keenest academic minds in the law to address issues that matter. They provide excellent opportunities for our students to work alongside the discipline’s leading academics.
