Law is undergoing a true revolution due to globalization and technology. Legaltech is booming and new players and start-ups focused on legal technology are disrupting the industry in incredible ways, providing powerful opportunities for law firms, corporations, private and public institutions.
With the aim of connecting and fostering this global, Legaltech ecosystem, IE Law School and the Law Schools Global League have launched the Global Legaltech Venture Days. This cutting-edge, highly competitive global competition is designed to identify and support those start-ups that have the ability to have a positive impact on major challenges faced by legal operators—whether private or public—as well as legal systems, so as to improve their operations thereby furthering the cause of justice.
UNSW Law and The Allens Hub for Technology, Law & Innovation are proud to partner with IE Law School in Madrid to bring the Australian round of their Global Legaltech Venture Day competition to UNSW!
If you are a start-up working on developing solutions, improving substantially the normal operation of legal systems and actors—whether public or private—take part in this Legaltech Venture Day!
In the upcoming months, IE Law School will take submissions and shortlist start-ups based on their originality, financial viability, and ability to have a positive impact on major challenges faced by the legal sector.
Selected startups will be invited to pitch in front of an expert judging panel at UNSW Sydney on 10 February 2020. The winner of the Sydney round will then go on to present their project to a mix of investors, business pioneers, and representatives of the legal industry at the final deliberation with other candidates from across the globe in spring 2020 at IE Law School in Madrid.
Registrations to pitch close 31 January 2020.
