Before commencing law at UNSW I had no real sense of what I wanted to achieve in my working life. However, the very first year of study opened my eyes to many new worlds - a world of social issues, interdisciplinary debate, and of legal precedent and principles. It was exciting, intellectually challenging and deeply satisfying. Forty-six years later, I still apply many of the principles and approaches that I learnt at the UNSW Law School.
