Chris commenced his PhD candidature with the Faculty of Law, UNSW in 2020. His thesis explores the potential use and application of blended finance to decarbonise shipping in the Pacific. Admitted as a lawyer in the UK in 1994 and in NSW in 1997, Chris's work as a lawyer has been mainly concerned with large project financed infrastructure projects, including as a partner at large firms in the UK and Australia, and as General Counsel for the operating entities of public-private partnerships.

Blended finance, green shipping finance, international law and regional ocean governance, law of the sea, laws of the Pacific Island Countries
