Dr Marc De Leeuw

MA (Berlin), Phd (Utrecht)

I am a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law. My main interest are legal philosophy, phenomenology, hermeneutics, ethics, critical social and political theory, migration studies, and the social study of law, science and technology. I focus on questions of human agency and epistemological practices as they happen in the intersection between law and the social-political & biological-philosophical.

Before coming to UNSW I lectured philosophy at Macquarie University (2011-12) and was a Junior Visiting Fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology at Yale University (2008-10), New Haven. In 2017 I was a 'Visiting Fellow in Residence' with the Center for the Study of Law and Society at the University of California-Berkeley.

Currently I also serve as the UNSW Law Ethics and Grievance Officer.
