Support for international students

Academic Support – International Juris Doctor Stream  

UNSW Law offers a specialised elective for international students from non-Common Law countries. Legal Writing in Context will give you the core skills needed for studying and practising law in Australia. The Peer Tutor Program is available to all UNSW Law students who would like extra help mastering skills such as case reading and statutory interpretation. 

International Student Support Advisors 

Our International Student Support Advisors are academics who provide support to international students. They are your first port of call for academic issues or concerns you might have as an international student studying Law. The Advisors also convene workshops throughout the year on a range of topics such as preparing for class, class participation and preparing for your assessments. The International Student Support Advisors for 2019 are Nofar Sheffi (n.sheffi@unsw.edu.au) and Associate Professor Charlie Weng (xiaochuan.weng@unsw.edu.au).
